“It’s been 2 months since Eddy’s extensive hand surgery. It looks AMAZING, doesn’t it? Yet Eddy continues to have excruciating pain in his hand, off the charts.😢 Dr. Perlmutter is the best hand surgeon in this region of the U.S. In his 22 years of surgery, he’s only had 5 patients get this complication. It’s called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a rare malfunction of the nerves that causes them to send pain signals to the brain, even though there’s no physical reason for pain. CRPS pain is the worst pain a human can experience, worse than childbirth or kidney stones. And it’s constant. Eddy’s has had chronic pain for 14 years, 24/7, but that pales in comparison to this pain. The truth is, unless he is healed of this, we cannot return to Kenya. 😭😢
Dr. Perlmutter wants Eddy to have a stellate ganglion nerve block on September 14. This can stop the pain signals and reset the nerves to normal. Sometimes it takes a series of these nerve blocks.
CALLING ALL PRAYER WARRIORS!! We are calling for a day of prayer & fasting on Sunday, September 13, to ask the Lord to heal Eddy’s hand & body. We do not feel our time is finished in Kenya. We are called by God from the top of our heads to the tips of our toes to minister to the Samburu people. God is faithful and trustworthy. He will continue to be!!
