Virginia Vaughn Sanders, 92, went to be with her heavenly Father on September 7th, 2019. Virginia was born in Pangburn, Arkansas on August 22nd, 1927 to Henry Ezell and Susie Blanton Cunningham.
Virginia lived in Bryan for over 65 years before moving to Alleyton to reside with her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Tony Patranella. She enjoyed living out in the country and loved looking out her window each morning to see deer grazing out in the front yard. She also enjoyed the wonderful vegetable gardens and fruit trees and canning with her daughter.
She looked forward to the many family gatherings there and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Virginia worked at Beall’s Department Store at Manor East Mall until she retired at age 72. Her beautiful smile and welcoming personality brought many repeat customers to Beall’s and she embraced the opportunity of meeting new people every single day. She was a member of New Beginnings Church of Bryan & the First Baptist Church of Columbus.
Preceding her in death were her past husbands, C.T. Vaughn and Rev. Luther Sanders, her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, John & Pat Vaughn of College Station; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie & Tony Patranella of Alleyton; granddaughter, Kim McFall & husband Jason of Sugar Land; grandson, Chad Vaughn and wife Kari of Kingwood; grandson, Steven Patranella & wife Katie of Katy & granddaughter, Pamela Perrone of Bryan. She was affectionately called “Great Grandma” by her great-grandchildren, Ryleigh & Evan Vaughn, Megan, Lauren & Kristen Patranella and Paige & Jaxson Perrone.
