Welch College Receives Generous Gift From The Duncanville Church

The First Free Will Baptist Church in Duncanville had a special service for Welch College,

Bro. David Williford, the Vice President of Institutional Advancement shared about the college during the Sunday School hour and then preached from Philippians 1 during the morning worship service.  Bro. Williford shared that the college has seen increased enrollment for several consecutive years and has has nearly filled its facilities at its new campus in Gallatin, TN.

The New Mercy Ministry Team from Welch  College was also in attendance and sang during the morning worship service.  The church was blessed by their ministry during the service, and was pleased to see the high quality leaders that are being produced through the Bible College.

The Duncanville Church presented Bro. Williford with a check for $20,000 for Welch College.  Half of that sum was designated to the Welch Scholarship Fund which helps make college more affordable for the students who attend.  The other half of the sum was designated to the Building on the Legacy Fund in order to help pay down the college’s indebtedness from the construction of its new campus.  The check was presented to Welch College’s Bro. David Williford and Dean of Women Susan Forlines by Deacon Bob Harless and Pastor Kevin D. Williford.

June 9th was also Bro. David Williford’s birthday, and so the church also sang “Happy Birthday” to him and presented him with a small gift of Texas memorabilia for his birthday.
