Introduction from WMO Ambassador, and the 10 For the Win Challenge

Hi,

My name is Mike Grant, and I’m the pastor of the Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. Recently, I have been appointed by I.M as the WMO ambassador for the state of Texas. As WMO ambassador for our state, it is my duty to do two things: to promote the importance of the World Missions Offering, and to be an encouragement to our churches. If you have any questions you would like to ask about the WMO, request materials, or if you would like to set up a presentation involving the WMO at your next association meeting, definitely contact me via email (michael.grant@sfwbc.edu) or via phone number (734-635-7878). Currently, I’ll be presenting the work of the WMO at the annual meeting for the West Fork Association on Saturday, May 3rd.

Also, as the WMO ambassador for our state, I would like to put out a challenge and goal for our state to take part in. Recently, we presented the concept of “10 For The Win” to our church as a way to provide more support for the WMO. 10 For the Win is simply this: 10 people commit themselves willingly to give $10 each month towards the WMO until August 31st. Imagine if we had 10 people, from 10 churches or more, willingly commit themselves to give $10 each month until the day of the WMO. I truly believe that God not only blesses in the grand, but that He also blesses in the simple. Like the Bible says, “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Notice, the word “few.”) Obviously, there is no obligation for anyone, or for any church, to take part in this challenge and goal; but, if anything, pray about it and do what God would have for you to do in relation to the WMO.
