While you pray weekly for IM missionaries and partnerships, this week, we
invite you to pray for those who support missionaries and partnerships, the IM
Home Team.
Pray for recruiting and vetting efforts:
All missionary applicants go through a rigorous screening process to ensure they are qualified spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially, and academically to serve cross-culturally. Pray for our team as we recruit and vet.
Pray for training efforts:
The Home Team trains and coaches our missionaries from application to
appointment to assignment. All of these are necessary to help them remain on their fields. Pray for our team as we train.
Pray for logistic efforts:
The Home Team relieves our missionaries of the mundane (but important) minutia of financial, insurance, and retirement details so they can focus their attention and energy on ministry. Pray for our team as we handle logistics.
Pray for member care efforts:
Missionaries are shepherded, discipled, encouraged, and celebrated by the Home Team on a continual basis. When hardship, hurt, or heartbreak comes to our missionaries, they know the Home Team is there to provide the loving help and healing they need. Pray for our team as we care for missionaries.
Pray for promotional efforts:
The Home Team continually advocates for and promotes our missionaries to our denominational base through media, printed materials, and in-person events. Pray for our team as we promote missionaries’ efforts.
Pray for partnership efforts:
The Home Team’s influence also reaches beyond our IM missionaries to our Legacy Partners and Field Partnerships. Pray for our team as we work alongside partners.
Pray for mobilization efforts:
The Home Team offers short-term mission trips for both high school (ETEAM) and college students (CMP) as well as humanitarian aid opportunities for anyone. These programs have proven to be our best source of identifying and connecting with future missionaries. Pray for our team as we mobilize others to find their role in the mission.
