Connect Church Update,

Prayer Requests, and

Self-Supporting Target Date


We want to thank you for your continued prayers and support of the Ferguson family and Connect Church. God has blessed this work, and we are grateful for every person who has contributed to make this a reality. With God’s help, we are working towards being self-supporting in December of 2024! We aren’t there just yet, but we are getting close. We ask for your continued support for the rest of this year as we are still several percentage points away from the target, but we are getting close. The rise in interest rates has slowed our progress towards this goal, but we are trusting that we will continue to trend in the right direction.



Over the last year, the Lord has allowed us to lead people to Christ and baptize several. As many of you know, we have been in our new building for just over 2 years. That has been an indescribable blessing as it allows us to have a “forever” home to operate the ministry. During that time, God has blessed us with multiple families and opportunities to share His Word.



One specific area of ministry that has been a blessing to Connect Church is Vacation Bible School. Last year, we saw 13 children give their lives to Christ! We are in the preparations right now for our VBS in June. Be praying that God will send children who need to hear the truth of God’s Word and that God will use us to give it to them.

This past year, we hosted a beautiful Christmas Eve service that includes worship, a challenge from the Bible, and a story for the kids. We also began a series of events we call WOW Night! Women of Worth is a night for just the ladies to come together to worship and fellowship with one another. These nights have helped the ladies of our community and church connect in a special way. These are just a few of the many things God has been doing in Houston, and we look forward to many more.



Prayer Requests:

Pray for souls to continue to be reached with the Gospel message.

Pray for open doors into the community.

Pray for the finances of Connect Church and for those who continue to support us (like you) so we may continue to serve this community as we inch closer to being self-supporting.

Pray for VBS and other summertime events (camps, outings, outreaches, etc.)
